So as promised, the details from today’s outfit! I love when you wake up excited for the day because you can’t wait to wear the outfit that you picked out. See style and fashion can affect your mood! If you look good, you feel good! Anyways I was SO EXCITED that my Maison Jules vest finally came in (from my last post Deals and Steals)! I say finally like it was forever but it was really like 3 whole days haha. Of course since my vest came in last night I wanted to wear it today. I couldn’t think of what to wear it with though. Finally while trying to fall asleep it came to me. My best thoughts always come to me when I am about to fall asleep and I am convinced I will remember them in the morning, that is a serious gamble. I remembered though! Today was the coolest day of the week at a whole 79 degrees so I took full advantage and busted out my boots! These Madden Girl boots have probably been one of my best investments, I think this is my 4th year with them, but not the point. I paired my new olive green vest with a loose, striped, shift tank dress, knee high ruffle socks, my camel colored boots, and topped it off with a nude statement necklace. I was so pleased with how it came out! I can’t wait for all of the other ways I can style this vest. So far I have another outfit in mind that is inspired off a picture I saw on Instagram, but it is still too hot for that outfit. Check out today’s though!

Deals and Steals
Last night on Instagram Maison Jules posted a picture of this dress…
I instantly tagged my bffffff in it because it’s obviously adorable. I looked it up on Macy’s and it was on sale for $49.99, originally $69.50. Not all that bad. While I was looking for the dress I also came across this vest and I have been on the search for this exact piece…
This was also on sale for $49.99, originally $69.50. I added them both to my cart because that’s just what I do, I torture myself because I knew I wasn’t going to buy them, and OF COURSE you need to spend $100 to get free shipping and what did I have in my cart, $100. BUT NO! I was good.
Well like always when I have my eyes on something I really want or have been looking for I obsess over it (this means you really want it and you can envision all the different ways to wear it- generally to me it means it’s a good buy) I have these shopaholic instincts. Well at work while taking a quick break I look up the items again on Macy’s just to see, when a miracle happened. Some act of fate mixed with fashion destiny that these two items came together just for me! The dress was now on sale for $17.99 and the vest $37.99! WHAT?! It’s one of those Macy’s One Day Sales (that lasts for two days but whatever). I go to my Macy’s app on my phone to order them right then and there since my info is saved on my phone. The first thing I thought of was now I had to pay shipping and was hoping it wasn’t too much. I added the two to my cart and went to check out. Looking at the total I noticed I qualified for FREE SHIPPING! Apparently for the One Day Sale (again it’s actually two days so I don’t know why they just don’t call it a two day sale, it doesn’t make it less exclusive) you only need to spend $50 to qualify for free shipping and I was spending $55! Altogether with tax it was $60.46. If the stars didn’t align for this purchase then I don’t know what happened but I got both items I wanted for less than the price of one and it’s getting shipped to my place… WINNING!
You can check out Maison Jules at Macy’s riiiiiight HERE! (It’s one of my favorites if you haven’t started to gather that)
OMG Skirts with Pockets!
While browsing Macy’s I had to walk through one of my favorite sections, Maison Jules! After looking through the section I stumbled upon a sale rack with quite a few navy skirts by Maison Jules on it. Usually when a bunch of one item goes on sale it’s because people don’t really like it and it’s not selling well. I tried it on despite this and it was totally cute! It is the perfect length for work but still isn’t too long, and it can be dressed up or dressed down. When it actually gets cold I can’t wait to pair it with tights and a blazer! Check it out!
The Current Issue
The current issue is that I have a huge urge to shop and no money to be spending doing so. I think this happens every time the seasons are changing because I convince myself that I have no clothes for the upcoming season. Then of course all the stores are putting out their new merchandise and it is just so hard! I am currently working on quitting my new Old Navy habit. I MUST BE GOOD! After today of course since I bought a new pair of dark boyfriend jeans with no holes in them! I had to, I have been stalking these jeans for months AND I had $10 off, I practically made money buying them. FALL PLEASE COME SOONER!
Okay that’s all, BYE!
Tourist Shorts
So I went on a mission to buy these shorts. I saw them on display in Old Navy and thought I needed to have them. Thinking about them more when I got home I looked them up online. Holy what?! They are on sale for $10 online! Of course I had to buy them, and a couple other things to get free shipping. Oh and what’s that? A promo code for 20% off? Yes I will now take the shorts for $8- WINNING! Anyways they finally came in and I debuted them today! Kind of felt like a tourist… a lot, but what the heck, here they are!
Make a Statement in Plaid
Although it was 100 degrees today I couldn’t wait to wear my new outfit. I got this adorable flannel at Target a week ago and instantly knew when I saw it that I wanted to wear it with my navy ankle slacks. This way I could mix casual and work attire together. Pairing it with my brown oxfords topped it off as a total Spencer Hastings outfit. I told you I’m the Spencer. The slightly matching big statement necklace tied the whole outfit together. Don’t you think?

Sometimes the day just calls for denim, and a lot of it! I took advantage of one of the only cool days this week, and when I say cool I mean 88 degrees. I found another outfit on Pinterest that I could recreate easily since I had all the pieces already, I just had never thought about pairing them together. Black high waisted jeans with a blue chambray button up, completed with a pair of snakeskin flats and a gold statement necklace. LOVED this.

Dress Obsessed
Dresses are great for multiple reasons. 1- they are just cute, 2- they are the easiest outfits ever because one piece of clothing is an entire outfit! 3- there are so many different kinds. I absolutely love dresses and already have quite a few but it is not enough. You can always use more dresses. I often convince myself that I need a new dress for every new occasion. What? I can’t have ANOTHER picture in the dress I wore to the last event, right?
One of my go to sites for dresses is Lily Boutique. They have so many different kinds, in so many colors, for pretty much every occasion! I even got my bridesmaid dress there for my friend’s wedding. All of these dresses, including the one for the wedding I was in are pretty reasonably priced.
This was my dress for my friend’s wedding, along with my beautiful friend!

Fall Into Burgundy Pants
I am really over this heat, it is killing me. I think I get so antsy at the end of summer because it means that my favorite season is coming… FALL! Fall is the best, I love everything about it. Apart from the fall colors, the brisk morning air, and all of the festive decorations that start to go up, of course you can guess that my favorite part of my favorite season is the style. Fall fashion is the best because you can finally wear layers without passing out or sweating. Some of this year’s fall styles are already in stores. They tend to jump the gun because of back to school shopping. That is okay with me though! I bought my first fall item over the weekend at, yes you guessed it, Target! (You all know me so well). Burgundy is such a classic fall color and you can actually wear it more than you think. These ankle slacks from Target are my favorite pants for work, this new addition is actually my fourth pair now. I also snagged this basic black and white striped tee at Target too for $9. My favorite thing lately has been dressing up basic items. This way I look nice with little effort and get to stay comfy too.
Fall please come faster and sty longer!

I bought this super cute black, lace midi skirt like forever ago in hopes to recreate another outfit I found on Pinterest. I haven’t worn it because every time I have tried I felt fat. Finally yesterday I wore it! I was so happy with how it came out and it looked pretty similar to the Pinterest one! The skirt I got from Forever 21, the tank is from Target, the necklace is from Charming Charlie, the wedge sandals are Madden Girl by Steve Madden, and the purse is my usual Michael Kors. This was really a fun yet sophisticated work outfit that can be dressed up more with actual heels, or dressed down with flat sandals.
This is the Pinterest outfit
And this is my inspired version of it
