Ladies! Remember a couple posts ago I showed you the red striped top from Who What Wear at Target? Post linked here in case you missed it. Well the top is finally online! I just wanted to update you because I love this top so much, so perfect for work this week with Valentine’s day!
I took a stroll through the Target clothing section, against my better judgment, and of course I found something. The seasons are finally changing in store so all the new merch is coming out. I love when the seasons change and seeing what the new styles will be. The second I saw just the pattern of this top I grabbed it off the rack. I was so excited when I saw the puffy shoulders! I tried it on and was sold, of course it’s by one of my favorite lines at Target, Who What Wear. It was one of those tops that you know exactly what you were going to pair it with, like my high waist, raw hem, mom jeans from Topshop (yes the label says “mom”). It came out so cute! I was worried the top would look weird tucked in because it is kind of boxy but it looked great. Of course when I wore it to work yesterday I wore black slacks with it untucked and that looked cute too.
I bought this jacket probably over a month ago but have only had like one chance to wear it. Thanks southern California fall. I just want it to be cool enough to layer, is that so much to ask? No!
I love this jacket because it can easily go with work outfits in place of a blazer, AND it can be paired with jeans for a casual look. I was hesitant about it at first. I found it at Target and did my usual walk by a few times before finally trying it on, I was intrigued but not certain. It has so much pattern for a jacket. So I did my normal test and left it, thought about it all night and went back to buy it the next day. I love it and it is from my favorite brand at Target: Who What Wear.
Below I style it for work with a simple off white top, black slacks and my black Steve Madden mules. It is basically my casual outfit with the pants subbed out. I envision lighter, non-fitted, ankle length jeans instead of the slacks (they are currently on my Nordstrom wish list), can you see it? I will try that next. Until then check out below!
How cute is this midi skirt?! I wasn’t sure if it was too circus tent-y, but I couldn’t get it out of my head from the moment I saw it. I decided it was too fun not to buy. I wore it to work but it would also be great for dress up events like brunch, a bridal shower, or a birthday party.
I paired it with my sleeveless chambray top and my rose gold heels, you know for a little pop, because a bright yellow skirt needs more pop…
I got so many compliments on this outfit from the minute I walked in the door at work! I just loved it! Probably one of the best parts about it is how inexpensive the skirt is. I got it half off on BooHoo.com. I’m excited to see what other looks I can make with it. Check it out!
Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I did nothing and it was great. Definitely got some much needed sleep. Can you believe it is already July 10th? This year has gone so fast and I feel like I can’t catch up. Pinterest is already suggesting fall outfits. Don’t get me wrong, I have said countless times that fall is my favorite season, but part of the love is the anticipation. Me, patiently waiting for the first day that I see leaves on the ground and the first day I get to wear a sweater and boots. This year though it feels like I may blink and it will be here.
Anyways, sorry about my tangent. Today’s look has been a long time coming. I bought this top a while ago from Target and had this great idea to pair it with high waist black pants. It took some time to find a pair I liked. Well honestly not too long, I found some with a sash tie waist at Express but kept waiting for a sale and it never happened. I was browsing Boohoo recently and saw some that were similar and would do, AND they were only $20.
The two pieces paired together perfectly! The top is great because although it is sleeveless it is still work appropriate which helps with this heat lately! Check it out and find the items linked below:
Sunday morning, my bffff, her other bff Sarah, and I went in search of wildflower fields. I have been trying to take more blog photos and Sarah has been wanting to get back into photography so we had a win-win situation. We left at 7:00am to attempt to find wildflowers near Lake Elsinore, but no surprise, they were all dead. We were not discouraged though! The scenery was still pretty so we found some good spots with some little wildflowers and took some great pictures.
I was really happy with how this outfit turned out. I found the kimono last weekend at my sister’s bachelorette party in Palm Springs. The store is called Heavenly Couture and EVERYTHING was $16.99! I could have bought way more but I had some self control, but only some. To be honest I wasn’t sure how the kimono would look paired over my collard chambray top but I think tying the bottom of the top really helped. This is the chambray top I got from the Who What Wear line at Target. The shorts are from Topshop at Nordstrom. I am really excited to see how else I can style this kimono, especially for work. I will definitely be trying it this week. At Heavenly Couture, they had it styled over a mauve dress and belted. I want to try something similar because it was super cute! Check it out, and note, I have only gotten a couple pictures back from Sarah so I will be sure to share the rest when I get them! You can totally tell the difference between her photos and mine LOL! She is just such a good photographer!
Will you please check out this color blocked, pleated midi skirt I found from WhoWhatWear at Target?! It instantly caught my eye. I saw it and picked it up, then put it back. They I came by it again and touched it, but left it again. Then a THIRD time I picked it up and held it up to myself in the mirror. Okay, okay, SOLD! I had to get it, which surprised myself that I liked it so much. I am not normally drawn to reds but I loved this. There are even red slacks I have my eye on. I think I just love how bright it is, the skirt is such a statement piece. The skirt IS the outfit which is why I paired an off with top with it. The top needs to be simple with this skirt, otherwise I would look like a walking fiesta!
