Pumpkin Patch Round Two

Sunday my sister, niece and I went to a huge pumpkin patch over in Yucaipa/Redlands. I took Dakota to this pumpkin patch last year and it was crazy then, but we were not prepared for the craziness this year. We got there later than we intended, 2pm, and just getting off on the exit was backed up. Parking was a joke, Nicole pulled into the first lot (a construction site not affiliated with the patch) and it was $20! Nicole didn’t want to drive farther so she just parked there. Once we got to the entrance of the pumpkin patch we were shocked yet again. The line to get into this place was insane! It was literally like getting into Disneyland. The line went through the entire parking lot and out of it FOR A PUMPKIN PATCH. Luckily it mostly moved fast. Once we were in we went to buy drinks because it was so hot and again WAITED IN LINE, like 45 minutes to buy bottled water. After water we finally got tickets and got Dakota on some rides and then the three of us went into the petting zoo. It was a day with a lot of waiting BUT it was still fun. Not going to lie though, I don’t know if I would want to go again next year if it is getting that crowded, I don’t know if it is worth it. Hopefully next month though we get to go to the apple orchard in Oak Glen because that is were I really wanted to go.

Now on to what is really important, my outfit for the pumpkin patch, DUH! I am just kidding, this outfit was nothing special but I do want to point out how amazing this v-neck is. I stalked and stalked this striped tee during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale until I found my size and I am so happy I prevailed in that mission. This has become my favorite casual top this season. It is super soft and light and goes with just about everything on the weekends. Whenever I do not know what to wear I just throw this on and either easy tuck it or tie a knot in the front or on the side and it is perfect. For the patch I paired it with my Adidas (also from the Nordstrom sale) and it was a comfy casual/athleisure outfit. I’m telling you, if you are looking for the perfect tee then check out this one, I will link below and it comes in 7 colors and is under $20!

Bladies!!

If you follow me on Instagram, you have probably seen I have been rollerblading. Yes rollerblading! I am not even sure exactly how it came up but earlier this month Kristen, my fellow blader and I, went to our other friend’s, Theresa, son’s first birthday party. On our drive home we talked about rollerblading and before we knew it, the next day we were at Big 5 Sporting Goods buying blades! We had to go to two different Big 5s to find them and were so excited we immediately took them for a spin. There is a bike trail that goes through our city and through a couple neighboring ones. We parked at one of the entrances and took off! We were a little wobbly and flail-y but we did it and now that is all we want to do every day. I couldn’t believe how fun it was and is, I don’t remember it being so relaxing. The first night we went 3 miles and didn’t even realize it! I love that it is a workout but it doesn’t feel like one. Well sometimes, the father we go the more hills we find and realize our buns are burning on the way back up. Our last go we went 8.3 miles! Each time we try to go at least a little further. It is usually around 6-6:30 by the time we go. At that time it is getting cooler and the sun is setting. I have already said it but is really is so relaxing. Just getting outside in the fresh air, you cannot help but smile after being cooped up all day.

The coolest thing about it though, besides the workout and therapeutic qualities, is what it is starting. Kristen and I took a bunch of short videos on our Insta stories and I ended up making a video for IGTV (watch it here), and we both got a couple messages from other girls who want to join us! The next time we went we already had a new bladie! Holly had dug up her blades and came out with us. Now my older sister bought some (we just broke her’s in last night, she is a little shaky but will get back in the groove!), and two other girls want to buy some and join too! I feel like we really might be starting something here! We keep calling ourselves the bladies or babes on blades. I am going to be so excited if more babes start joining us. You just wait, soon there we be neighborhood complaints about the lady blade gang, it is going to be awesome!

I linked our blades below, it is crazy that Kris and I have already put 35.7 miles on these guys! They are much more comfortable than I remember as a kid, maybe because these ones, tie and buckle, not just buckle all the way up. I also linked my palm print workout outfit, they are new and I love them! If you are local to Rancho Cucamonga come join us! If not, seriously get some blades and start up where you are, you will love it!

Will Hike for Donuts

Hola amigas!

(Feeling SO inspired by my recent Google searches of Tulum, can you tell?). Have you ever wanted to really eat something yummy but felt like you needed to validate it? Well, you don’t! But we’ve all been there and I happened to be there Sunday. I was really craving a donut, but not just any donut, an artisanal donut from Grizzby’s in Claremont.
Steps to validating a sweet treat:
1. Invite a friend
2. Do something active to cancel it out

So, I grabbed my friend Samantha and we headed for the Claremont Loop. This is a gorgeous hike and I definitely recommend bringing a friend or your dog and giving it a try! Now, this is an athleisure blog, so let’s keep it real… we only did half of the hike. Can you tell we were excited for our donuts? Either way, it was perfect for a Sunday afternoon and the clear skies made for a gorgeous view!

Now let’s talk about those donuts, I ordered a Vanilla Crumb and Samantha ordered a Rosé Lemonade. They were so worth the calories that we obviously had already cancelled out! No regrets here!

Next post I will be trying out some different brands, I’m thinking Show Me Your Mumu or AloYoga, decisions decisions!
Outfit details below!
Go treat yourself to a donut 🍩,
Kristen

Walking Your Dog in Style

Taking your dog on a walk definitely counts as your daily exercise when your workout of choice is ATHLEISURE. Style burns twice as many calories as…Anyways, Kaipo and I love our walks in Rancho Cucamonga with our other pack mate Nick. We always have to stop by Klatch Coffee for some caffeine-I mean pre-workout.

Last week we had a beautiful sunny Monday, but it was actually so cold (60 degrees!). This outfit was perfect for battling the California winter chill, breathable leggings, warm long sleeve, and a cute headband!

I am a loyal Lululemon shopper when it comes to my everyday essentials, but I’m looking to branch out! What are your daily athleisure essentials or other brands that you love? Comment and let me know where I should be shopping for my next look!

Outfit linked below!

All from Lululemon:

  • Leggings (similar, mine are High Rise Luxtreme Wunder Unders)
  • Top (similar)
  • Headband (on sale!)

Happy Wednesday! – Kristen

New Style Panelist: Kristen!

I am so excited to add a new style panelist to the blog! Kristen and I have been friends for 10 years this coming September. She, Amanda (other panelist and other best friend), and I met while going through sorority recruitment as freshman. I cannot believe that is about to be 10 years ago… feeling old. Anyways! Kristen is an absolute pro at athleisure. She always looks so cute but is 9 times out of 10 in some sort of work out clothes and she rocks it! A little jealous because that means she is usually comfortable. Read a little more about her and wait for her first post next week!
